Senior Data Scientist / AI Engineer

About the role
As a senior data scientist / AI engineer, you'll play a key role in designing and developing AI solutions – from rapid PoCs to production-grade systems. You'll work with cutting-edge models, have the freedom to design architectures, mentor teammates, and champion best practices. You'll collaborate directly with clients, understand their business needs, and translate them into robust technical solutions.
What you'll do
- Design and develop custom AI solutions, including architecture design
- Research emerging technologies (open-source models, RAG frameworks, multimodal AI)
- Work with large language models (prompt engineering, fine-tuning, in-context learning)
- Effectively implement tools like LangChain, LlamaIndex, OpenAI, HuggingFace, vector databases
- Collaborate with clients – gather requirements, consult, design, and defend solutions
- Optional involvement in internal R&D focused on molecular dynamics (if interested)
- Mentor junior colleagues and support their growth
What we look for
- Minimum 3 years of experience in AI/ML, software development, or data analytics
- Strong proficiency in Python and familiarity with AI/ML libraries (Pandas, Scikit-learn, Transformers, etc.)
- Ability to design solutions and lead their development
- Experience working with model APIs and open-source LLMs is a plus
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) is a plus
- English at minimum B2 level (spoken and written)
- Self-driven, curious, and eager to learn new things

About the role
As a junior data scientist / AI engineer, you'll be part of a team that designs and delivers solutions based on the latest AI models (e.g. large language models, embeddings, classification, or NLP pipelines). You'll start with simpler tasks and gradually take part in more complex projects based on your interests and skills.
What you'll do
- Searching for data inputs and preparing them for processing
- Creating prompts and designing interactions with large language models (LLMs)
- Working with model APIs (OpenAI, Claude, Mistral, etc.)
- Collaborating on the development of AI solutions for clients
- Experimenting with available tools (LangChain, LlamaIndex, RAG stack, etc.)
- Learning: support and mentoring from senior team members
What we look for
- Basic programming skills in Python
- Understanding of AI/ML fundamentals (gained through studies or self-learning)
- English at minimum B2 level – ability to read technical documentation
- Enthusiasm for AI and a strong willingness to learn
- A responsible mindset and team spirit
- Bonus points for any experience with LLMs, cloud platforms, or open-source libraries (HuggingFace, LangChain, etc.)
